We’re excited to announce that, in 2026, we’re aligning our work under the name SocialRx.

This name reflects who we are today and where we’re headed next. From the beginning, our work has focused on strengthening well-being through social connection, community-based engagement, and non-clinical care. As our partnerships have grown across healthcare, higher education, and community systems, we wanted a name that more clearly captures that purpose.

SocialRx speaks directly to our role in the health and well-being ecosystem: supporting individuals and institutions in addressing loneliness, belonging, and overall well-being through the community-based care model of social prescribing.

Art Pharmacy remains a core and foundational brand within SocialRx. You can expect the same programs, the same team, and the same commitment to arts, culture, and community-based partners. Art Pharmacy continues to be a primary pathway through which our work comes to life.

We have not changed our belief that the arts and connection are essential to health. We also maintain our commitment to building systems that make that connection possible.

Thank you for being part of this work with us. We’re excited to continue building the future of social prescribing under a name that reflects a fuller scope of what we do, now as SocialRx.

Why are you introducing the name SocialRx?

Our legal name has been SocialRx Inc. since we incorporated in 2022. Many of our business partners already know us this way. As our work has grown, we wanted to lean into a name that more clearly reflects what we do today, and where we’re going tomorrow. SocialRx represents our focus on social prescribing and supporting health and well-being through connection, belonging, and community-based care.

Is SocialRx a new organization?

No. SocialRx is the parent company of Art Pharmacy. Our mission, team, values, and programs remain the same. This name simply reflects a fuller scope of the work we’ve been doing and where we are headed.

Does this mean you’re no longer focused on the arts?

Not at all. Arts and culture remain an important part of our community partner ecosystem.. However, the arts are one of many pathways we use to support well-being. SocialRx reflects our broader approach to social prescribing beyond any single type of activity.

What does “SocialRx” mean?

“SocialRx” refers to the practice of social prescribing: connecting people to social and community-based supports that improve health and well-being, such as opportunities for connection, belonging, creativity, and purpose. “Social” represents the importance of connection and community. “Rx” represents the health benefits of these activities and our approach to personalized social prescribing.

Are your programs or services changing?

Nothing we currently offer is going away — arts and culture engagements will continue to make up the majority of our offerings. At the same time, we’ve consistently heard from members and other stakeholders who are interested in additional types of experiences, such as movement-based activities, outdoor experiences, and even volunteer opportunities. We want to stay responsive to what our members are seeking, which is why we’re creating space to thoughtfully expand the range of social prescribing pathways we can offer in the future. Regardless of the types of offerings, partners and members can expect the same level of care, coordination, and support they receive today.

Do current partners or members need to do anything?

No action is required. Over time, you’ll see our updated name reflected across our website, communications, and materials, but everything else remains the same.

Why make this change now?

As the field of social prescribing continues to grow across healthcare, higher education, and community settings, we felt it was the right moment to align our name with the work we’ve been doing and the future we’re building.

How does this affect existing partnerships or agreements?

All existing partnerships, agreements, and commitments remain in place. The name change does not affect our relationships or obligations.
