SocialRx is partnering with the State of Connecticut to launch a statewide social prescribing initiative that integrates arts and cultural experiences into healthcare to address mental health challenges and social isolation. Supported by the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development's Office of the Arts, the program aims to build a network connecting healthcare providers with local arts organizations, enabling providers to prescribe activities like museum visits, theater performances, and art workshops to patients. This initiative aligns with Connecticut's broader efforts to combat loneliness and improve mental health outcomes through community-based, non-clinical interventions.
